Otoplasty - Ear Surgery

Otoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that corrects ears that are overly large, protrude too far from the head, or are asymmetrical. The surgery helps create more natural proportions and a harmonious facial appearance. Otoplasty can be performed from the age of 5.

Who is it suitable for?

Otoplasty may be appropriate for patients who want to:

  • Reduce the size of overly large ears,

  • Bring protruding ears closer to the head,

  • Correct asymmetrical ears,

  • Improve self-confidence related to their appearance.

How the procedure is performed

  • The operation is carried out through small incisions behind the ear, hidden in the natural crease.

  • The cartilage is reshaped and the ear is positioned as desired.

  • After healing, only a fine, barely noticeable scar remains behind the ear.

Recovery and results

  • After surgery, a compression bandage is applied to help keep the ear in the correct position.

  • Pain and bruising are generally minimal.

  • Most patients can return to their normal daily activities within 5–7 days.

  • The result is ears that are more proportional and a more balanced overall facial appearance.
