Dr. Heleia Nestal Zibo is a maxillo-facial-surgeon with a unique formation. She is the only surgeon in Estonia with medical and dental degrees and the most specialized in the cranio-facial region.
Dr. Nestal Zibo was born in 1978 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and graduated in Dentistry at Sao Paulo State University – UNESP in 2000. She continued with the post-graduation in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Santa Casa Charity Hospital of Sao Paulo. The biggest philanthropic hospital of Latin America, located in the center of Sao Paulo city.
In 2004, she started the studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Sao Paulo Charity Hospital. In 2006, she moved to Estonia and continued the studies at Tartu University. She completed the specialization in maxillofacial surgery in 2011 and graduated in Medicine in 2017 in Tartu University. At the moment, she is a PHD researcher in maxillofacial surgery at the University of Tartu.
Dr. Zibo has perfectionist character and continuously seeks for improvement of her knowledge and surgical skills. She has taken several additional training in aesthetic facial and craniofacial surgeries at the university hospitals of Helsinki, Oulu, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Leipzig, Maastricht, Innsbruck, Vienna, Cincinnati, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and others.
Dr. Nestal Zibo works as a cranio-maxillo-facial surgeon in Tallinn, at the North- Estonia Medical Centre and Tallinn Children’s Hospital. She also offers private consultations and treatment care in facial cosmetics at Confido Medical Center.
She is the leading surgeon in Craniosynostosis in Estonia and is responsible for initiation, development and systematization of the multidisciplinary care of all patients with craniosynostosis in Estonia.
